This week Cas and I went to stay with Chris in London for a couple of days. His new flat with Katty and big Cas is in Bermonsey and is really nice - the area is nice one way and not so nice the other, so if you only go to the nice part of Bermonsey, it's all good!
London, I have concluded is the most anti baby city! It is murder to get around with a buggy, even a little one like mine. Buses drivers don't get anywhere near the curb and as usual the buses are overcrowded with the great unwashed. However we did get out of the inner city grime for one morning and went to see Sharon, Nathaniel and baby Brooke in Balham.
We went to the Imperial War Museum which was great - we only got around about half of it so we will definately go again. Here is me and Cas checking out the Spitfire!
We saw Kerry, Cas has never met Kerry before and was very happy with his new hat that she had made for him. Thanks Kerry!

Mothers Day!
Hurrah today was my first Mothers Day! To celebrate I got breakfast in bed and Chris got up with Cas. I didn't get a lie in as I don't think I can physically sleep in anymore :-( But at I did get a couple of hours reading my book. Cas didn't get me a card or pressie as apparently he is skint. . . not as skint as me after having him! Anyway we all went for the day to Cheadle Hulme to the March Hare with Laurie, Big Al and my mum. Nice place, reasonable food, great puddings! Long drive to Stockport but very nice day all in all.

Picture this
Today we all went to the Broadway cinema to see the Bringing Up Baby screening of The Young Victoria. It was a good film although parts were drowned out by the cacophony of babies yelling! Cas was very good though and just enjoyed watching his dad on the big screen. I also think that I look like Emily Blunt - except prettier - and she needs to shift a few pounds . . . !

Do you want to buy any pegs?
Today Katty came for a visit and we went to Pizza Express for our lunch. Cas was very well behaved - I think it was because he was chewing down on his new bickiepeg teething biscuit. What a good invension. They tie onto his arm and he can have a good chew without dropping it on the floor! He is still full of cold - but being a good boy most of the time nevertheless!

Arty Arty
Today Chris and I took Cas (and ourselves as actually he wasn't interested) to see a new exhibition at the Lakeside Art Gallery. We saw 'The American Scene: Prints from Hopper to Pollock'. This is what the write up said:
. . features spectacular images of American society and culture made during a period of great social and political change from the early 1900s to 1960 and charts the emergence of a consciously American subject matter and artistic identity in the twentieth century.
I really loved it - it was my kind of art - proper and not a just few daubs of paint! This was my favorite lithograph, byLouis Lozowick, 'New York' 1925.
Then we went to see WINDOWS ON WAR SOVIET POSTERS 1943-1945. This was a great collection of Russian 2nd WW posters and propagada. Chris in particular enjoyed this collection. I really like the poster of the Russian War Heroine - any woman could be called one - as long as you had 10 or more children . . to re-populate russia!!!
I was a lovely day - but it was really cold and Cas was very grumpy.
New Blog
Today I decided to start a blog. It will be probably a weekly blog of one or two reasonably interesting things that I have done in the week. Seeing as most weeks I only do one or two interesting things it would be impossible to do a daily blog!
Let's see how it goes . . .
